The Gastonia Fire Dept. is one of three paid professional services in Gaston County and serves the county in mutual aid situations. City Fire serves nearly 70,000 citizens in the city limits of Gastonia and has eight stations spread throughout the municipality to provide service.

Located on the westside of Gastonia, station #1 houses the central administrative staff as well as a full compliment of firefighters and rescue units.
Station 1 serves the northwestern portion of Gastonia.
